Meet Stacey Marino
“To travel is to live” – Hans Christian Andersen
I have always loved traveling, a passion that began in my childhood. My father traveled extensively for work, and my mother and I would often accompany him. While he was working, my mother and I would explore the cities we were in. This early exposure to travel ignited my deep love for it and ultimately shaped my career path.
Another passion of mine has always been learning. As my grandfather always said, “Knowledge is the one thing that nobody can take from you.” My love for learning has never wavered. Just ask my patient husband, who has to field endless questions every day. If I lack knowledge in something, I make it my mission to learn it. I have always been naturally curious, and the world fascinates me. The travel industry is always changing, much like the weather in Michigan! I love understanding unfamiliar cultures, exploring diverse landscapes, and meeting new people. And now, I have the pleasure of creating these experiences for anyone who seeks my help.
During my time at the University of Michigan, I pursued a degree in Business with a major in Marketing because I believed it to be the most enjoyable business major. I was determined not to end up in a mundane career for the rest of my life. One pivotal moment occurred at a college career fair when I was asked, “Do you enjoy traveling?” Naturally, I enthusiastically replied, “Um yeah! Who doesn’t?!” This simple question set me on the most fulfilling career path. Little did I realize, I had been my father’s unofficial travel agent for many years, organizing his airline tickets and finding him hotels.
Since starting this journey in 2015, I have accumulated over 200 certifications, the most significant being my CTA (Certified Travel Agent). I have no intentions of slowing down or stopping, which is why I started Heartfelt Journeys. When it came time for me to create a name for my company, I knew I wanted it to reflect my experience with heart disease. Having been born with a rare congenital heart condition, I have had to fight for good health throughout my entire life. This experience has shaped who I am today, and I am stronger because of it. The word ‘Heartfelt’ encompasses not only my heart disease, but also the deep passion I bring to my work. Bringing joy to clients by creating unforgettable moments and lasting memories is what truly fills my heart with happiness. So, let’s connect and get you started on your next adventure!
